There are plenty
kid-friendly attractions in the Crescent City.
Bring the kids along for a walk down Royal
Street towards Jackson Square. Here you
can have a caricature done or watch the talented
street performers. Walk to the French
Market and check out the variety of souvenirs
and collectibles. Grab a muffaletta at
Central Grocery and then head to one of these
attractions:
Cuisine in New Orleans is
unlike any other in the world. A blend of
French, Spanish, African, Caribbean, Native
American and down-home southern flavors help
create a melting-in-the-mouth memory like no
other.
Creole and Cajun are the two pillars of New
Orleans cooking. So what's the difference?
Creole uses butter and cream while Cajun
incorporates animal fats to grease the pan and
fortify the sauce. Creole can have a spicy
kick, but tends to be the milder of the two -
using more tomato-based sauces. When you
visit - be sure to try both styles and let your
taste buds decide!
