Continuous Kilns—How and Why They Work: A Thermodynamic Analysis of the Continuous Lumber Kiln in Use at Bibler Brothers Lumber Co.

This session presents the results of temperature and moisture gradient measurements taken while a kiln is in operation drying various lumber products under different operating conditions. Results are interpreted through a themodynamic modeling process to predict how the variables in continuous kiln drying impact production and lumber grade associated characteristics.
